Topic: In this story, Alongsiders and their little brothers and sisters will learn the importance of perseverance and trying hard, even when there are lots of challenges.

Scripture: The scripture for this lesson is Philippians 4:13.

Discussion: The discussion questions will guide the Alongsider and their little brother or sister in thinking about how to work hard in what they struggle with at school and how to turn to God for help.

Activity: Through the application activity the Alongsider and the little brother or sister will each set a goal and work out the steps to reaching that goal.
