Lesson 5: God Welcomes Everyone   

Topic: In this story, Alongsiders and their little brothers and sisters will learn about the Kingdom of God. They will see an example of a child being unjustly treated and learn that God does not want injustice but rather for the Kingdom of God to come on earth as it is in heaven.  

Scripture: The scripture for this lesson is Matthew 6:9-13.

Discussion: The discussion questions will help the Alongsider and their little brother or sister reflect on personal experiences of injustice and ways they have seen God’s Kingdom on earth.

Activity: Through the application activity they will learn the Lord’s prayer.
