MEASURABLE RESULTS

In 2013 we engaged an external research team to measure the impact of Alongsiders mentors in the lives of their little brothers and sisters. More than 300 young people participated over the course of several months.

The research team wanted to compare the lives of our little brothers and sisters with similar children from the same villages. The only difference between the two groups would be that one group of children had been matched with an Alongsider mentor, and the other group (the control group) had not.

The difference was quite amazing. In every area studied, from spiritual to emotional, from educational to social, the little brothers and sisters with an Alongsider mentor showed a significant difference from their peers.
